Welcome to Shalu Holidays. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before making any bookings or using our services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, making a booking, or using any of our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our services.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
2. Booking and Payment Terms
Booking Confirmation
All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation. A booking is only confirmed when you receive a confirmation email with your booking reference number.
Payment
- Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise specified
- We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and online payment methods
- All prices are quoted in INR and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise
- Payment must be made by the person who made the booking
Pricing
Prices are subject to change without notice. The price applicable is the one quoted at the time of confirmed booking. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors on our website.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation by Customer
- More than 30 days before departure: Full refund minus 10% processing fee
- 15-30 days before departure: 50% refund
- 7-14 days before departure: 25% refund
- Less than 7 days before departure: No refund
Cancellation by Shalu Holidays
We reserve the right to cancel any booking due to unforeseen circumstances, weather conditions, or insufficient bookings. In such cases, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days to the original payment method.
4. Changes and Modifications
Changes to confirmed bookings are subject to availability and may incur additional charges. All change requests must be made in writing at least 7 days before departure.
We are not responsible for any changes to itineraries caused by circumstances beyond our control, including weather, natural disasters, political situations, or supplier issues.
5. Traveler Responsibilities
As a traveler, you are responsible for:
- Ensuring you have valid travel documents (passport, visa, ID)
- Obtaining necessary vaccinations and health certificates
- Purchasing adequate travel insurance
- Arriving at meeting points on time
- Respecting local customs, laws, and regulations
- Providing accurate information during booking
- Your personal belongings and valuables
- Any additional costs incurred during the trip
6. Limitation of Liability
Shalu Holidays acts as an intermediary between travelers and service providers. We are not liable for:
- Acts or omissions of third-party service providers
- Loss, damage, or theft of personal property
- Personal injury, illness, or death (except where caused by our negligence)
- Trip delays, cancellations, or changes due to circumstances beyond our control
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for your booking.
7. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical expenses, emergency evacuation, baggage loss, and personal liability. Shalu Holidays is not responsible for any losses that could have been covered by insurance.
8. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.
